Hi Gail.  All is very well with Cocoa.  We all feel as if she has been with our family for her whole life.  She just fits like a glove.  Had a great time up in the mountains.  She didn't have to be on a leash at all around the cabin. She just loved it.  I think she has even shed a few pounds since her arrival.  She's getting used to the walks around the neighborhood and loves taking the kids to school.  Wow - does she attract attention!   Everyone just loves her and she's becoming quite famous.  The boys couldn't be more proud of her.  They especially love when she goes into their room and steals their stuffed animals.  Or when she gets in bed with them and stands on top of them giving kisses.  Again, thank you for this gift you have given us.   Will send pictures soon.   Julie

    Kona is doing so well!  Here is an updated picture.  She has been to 2 puppy classes so far.  She sits and comes (most of the time) she is really a good little doggie.

Gail,

I just wanted to let you know how much we are already enjoying Murphy.  He is soo cute and soo sweet.  As of Sunday evening, I think he officially settled in and has become a little wild man.  He loves to chase the cat.  He loves our lab, but the lab is not quite as thrilled with him.

We are so pleased with our experience with Whispering Winds.  You have been a pleasure to work with and Murphy is quite a treat.

Hi Gail,

She (Madrona) is doing so well - she heels beautifully on the leash and will sit when asked...we are working on lay down and stay :)  She comes when called (most of the time) and is asking to go outside to do her business.  YEAH!  She gets her 4th set of puppy shots this week and we're starting a puppy obedience class on Friday.  She has made friends with my cousin's huge dog - today she was sitting on top of his head, to get a better angle for chewing on his face - too cute!

Thanks again, Gail, for all the work you put into her; she is fantastic.  I will keep in touch and definitely bring her over for a visit if we are in Bellingham.

Hi Gail,

We are having so much fun with Amber!  She is up to a bit over 12 lbs and just got her 3d shot today.  We have had 2 puppy school classes and are learning "sit," "right here," and "good."  (BTW - has she learned any other words other than "go potty?").  The kids adore her and are still happy to take her out and for walks.  I met Starbucks, another of your dogs, at the dog training classes.  Amber and Starbucks immediately started playing.  Starbucks' mom realized that Starbucks must have been at your place at the same time as Amber - and they sure seemed to recognize each other!

Hi Gail Thought you'd like an update on Apollo. Although it was a long trip for Apollo he was in good spirits and charming as could be when he arrived at the airport. After the drive back to Ct he was treated to chicken and rice which he thoroughly enjoyed!! After a few walks outside he settled into a peaceful sleep in his new crate in our bedroom. He slept through the night.    He sweet and very affectionate, loves to play! He's had a great time bouncing through the grass (even though still on leash). He's perfect!! I can't help but think how his face reminds me of the movie star Benji. Right now he's sitting under my desk on his rug with his play toys, resting quietly while I'm on the computer. He's just wonderful!! I will give you further status reports and photos as time goes on. Betty                                                    Apollo is from Whispering Winds Abigail and Tegan Park Surprise Pac   Born April 14, 2007   Hi Gail I thought Apollo was a bundle of charm and enthusiasm when I first received him, but today his pace has picked up speed!! He's so full of energy and bounce but always keeps near  me. We've been running through the yard together, even though he has to slow down to keep up with me ( he looks back to check). He love's to throw and chew on all the ropes and squeaky toys he can find. I'm surprised at the commands he already understands, like "sit."  He watches to see when I'm awake to call to me in the morning. I peek at him with one eye and see he is sitting patiently waiting for me to stir. He's so proud when he uses the grass to relieve himself.  He's surprisingly very good at it. Apollo is definitely a charmer, a real bundle of love. I'm so happy he joined our family!  Thanks so much for all your care and love for Apollo. His gentleness shows the affection he has experienced in your care.   Betty

Hi Gail,   It's been almost a year since you sent us Milou and she has been a great addition to our family.  I wanted to send a couple pictures so you could see how she has turned out.  We see Kona, who belongs to my husband's sister Karen, quite often and Isabella, who lives next door almost on a daily basis.  They all love to play together.  Milou is the smallest of the three but also the fastest which helps when she's tired of rough-housing.  Milou can be quick as lightning as she tears around the yards.  She'll take off and the other two just lag behind her and bark their frustration.  :)   The first picture is of my daughter Anne with her hand under Isabella's chin and Milou next to them.  The second was on Milou's birthday with Anne and Drew, and the third is of Milou, Kona and Isabella in our backyard.   I hope you are enjoying your summer.  Thanks for everything you did to help us get Milou.   Take Care, Kathy

We are enjoying Abby so much.  She is a bundle of energy! (when she's not sleeping)  She is very smart.  She sits on command & goes potty when I tell her to (most of the time).  Thanks for a wonderful dog.

Dear Gail and "Abby",

I just wanted to say thank you so much for a sweetheart and gentle Gunner.  We all appreciate what a mellow guy that he is.  He is my very best friend and companion these days!  Our middle son Kyle is a very quiet guy and has taken to Gunner.  Kyle is looking forward to when Gunner can spend his evenings sleeping in his room.  Kyle has the makings of a veterinarian or something to do with animals, I'm sure.  We just signed up for puppy classes yesterday.  The classes  will begin in May.  Thanks again for a lovely dog.  I can't imagine how we did without him.
