Notes and Photos from
our puppy homes - Fourth Quarter 2008
Dear Gail and Wayne, Thanks for the greetings. Luca has grown into a
sweet, mischievous adolescent who weighed 36 lbs when I checked a few
weeks ago. He's been in weekly classes since September and we're both
making lots of progress. Here is a picture after I recently trimmed him
and an earlier picture. Best wishes for happy holidays and a great New
Year. Frida

Gail
Kizzie is doing great! Everything is
working perfectly. She has mastered lap setting and cuddling. Tillie and
Kizzie are the most amazing dogs. They learn everything so easily and have such
wonderful, happy temperaments. We are so blessed to be able to own two of your
perfect puppies. You are truly the best!!
Merry Christmas

Tanner
with Peggy McAlpine
Hi Gail,
Thanks for your nice Christmas card. This a
picture of Tanner with my mother (Peggy McAlpine) who flew here from Halifax to
celebrate her 93rd birthday. They both look wonderful! The picture is
taken in our garden/yard which is all fenced in for Tanner. Tanner is one
year
old now and a big boy. Can go hiking up Mosquito Creek with me off leash
and is the most socialized puppy we've ever owned. He can
handle himself anywhere and is a lover to boot. We still have to treat his
eyes with drops quite frequently but his ears are good and
I've switched him to Eucaneuba Response formula, fish and potatoe for his coat.
He's a lovely size. Most of the Labradoodles being breed
here in B.C. are surprisingly big.
Best wishes from Rod and me to you, your family
and all beautiful puppies.

Hi Gail, Just wanted to shoot you a quick email to let you
know Max is doing great in his new home!! His little personality has really come
through! He had a great check up with the vet (we really liked her!), and is a
healthy little guy. We are enjoying him SO much!
Also got your cute Christmas card...Max was very pleased that he made the cover
this year! :)

Hello Gail,
How are you doing? I have been thinking a lot about you lately as I have reflected on this last year. I can't believe that we have had Nugget for a year now. The time has gone by fast, and we have loved every minute with Nugget. He is such a good boy. He is so gentle and kind. He sleeps on my bed at night, and he goes with me on errands during the day. He is still such a cuddler. Whenever I hug the kids; Nugget is right there wanting in on the action. We just love him to pieces. I have attached some photos to look at.
I hope that all is well. Every once in a while I think that I want another labradoodle as a companion for Nugget, and I look at your puppies. (My husband says, NO!) Your puppies are all so adorable. May you have a wonderful Christmas season.
Love,
Kristy

Hi
Gail,
Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how
wonderfully Hunter is doing
in our home! It is a true testament to
what loving hands you have with each
puppy. Hunter knows what to do when we go
outside, he sleeps peacefully in
his crate, he gently lays in our arms on his
back while looking us right in
the eye and he plays beautifully with the
children! We are so fortunate that
he came with such a great head start! At this
moment, he is calmly laying at
my feet while I sit here on the computer.
Also, Grady and Hunter are
quickly getting to know one another. Grady
spent the night last night as my
parents were in Portland for the day.
I hope you enjoy our Christmas picture we took
on Saturday! Thank you again
for the chance to have one of your beautiful
puppies!
Warmly,
Elizabeth

Hi Gail!
Another update and photos of Anabelle. She's as
happy and crazy as ever. I have to say, our
lives changed for the better when we picked her
up at the airport (and I must confess now, over
a year later, that tears were falling down my
cheeks when I first saw her in person).
These photos are of her first swim (this past
summer) and Halloween. In one of the photos, you
can see how Shiloh just took the handle in her
mouth and towed Anabelle to the steps. They are
very close and they look out for one another.
And, of course, their outfits. I wanted them to
match for Halloween!
I hope you and your family and animals are all
well!
Donna

Hello Gail!
Just a little
update on our wonderful
little Patrick (born
3/14/2008)! He continues to
be a perfect addition to our
family. He loves our
grandchildren, David 8 &
Julianna 4. I have
included recent pictures of
him (before haircut &
after)! He loves to go to
the park each day with my
husband. He just runs &
runs & runs! Everyone who
meets him thinks he is so
adorable.
We had to
have him shaved as he
developed a bunch of mats.
I tried to brush & comb him
regularly, but somehow I
didn't do it well enough.
The groomer told me that
when his fleece grows in a
bit she will show me how to
keep up with him. He still
looks adorable, though we
didn't recognize him when we
went to pick him up.
Happy
Thanksgiving!

Hi
Gail, It has been a long time since we have contacted you and I would like to
start off by saying what a great dog Riley is maturing to. He is currently in
obedience class and I must say he is the best one there! He is extremely
intelligent and well mannered. Riley is what Cesar Milan calls a calm submissive
dog, other dogs could be barking their heads off and he just acts like they are
just not there. The attached picture was our first pop-up trip which we just
acquired and he made himself at home on the dinnette couch. Too funny! His
fishing trips with us on the boat was great where he took is first swim. Our
entire family loves the little guy and he is just the best pup anyone can ask
for. Not being very common everyone has to stop us and ask us about him and of
course he loves the attention...He has been completely potty trained for a few
weeks now. I can't tell you how good he is!
Best regards, Adrian
P.S. The chain you see is for the trailer not his walking leash. LOL
Whispering
Winds Bella DOB: March 29,
2008
Dam: Whispering
Winds Lady Pink
Sire: aAprina's in Boo-Boo's E-3
"Taz"
Hi Gail,
I’ve been
watching for the birth of the
new litter from Lady Pink and
Taz. What a beautiful bunch
they are (and will become).
Congratulations. Whoever adopts
one of those puppies will surely
be as delighted as we are with
our Bella! Perhaps the Obama
Family?
The time flies by
so fast and although I think of
you every day (as the ultimate
dogmother) I haven’t let you
know about just how well things
are going for us. Bella is so
unbelievably good, that we
delight in her being naughty.
She loves to carry our shoes
around (gingerly) but never
really damages them. Everything
that she does is remarkably
gentle. She is so funny when
trying to get attention and even
loves to watch TV. She actually
likes to monitor our TV
watching. If any animal is
seen or heard from on TV she
barks until we change the
channel. Not to say that she’s
a barker – actually the opposite
is true. Days will go by
without us ever hearing her
voice.
When Bella came
home with us she was already 4
months old and was quite shy
with people and other dogs. She
has gradually emerged from that
shell and enjoys more and more
activities all the time. We
have so enjoyed being part of
her transition. Now she has
some really fun dog friends and
even people friends, too. She
attended a dog training class
and did quite well there. She
LOVES to play ball and is glad
to bring it back to me. She
runs so gracefully that I am
considering agility training in
her future.
The hard part
about having such an adorable
dog is that I can’t take her
anywhere without being stopped
and questioned about her breed,
etc. The people in her dog
class all agreed that she is the
most beautiful labradoodle
ever. And who am I to argue
with that?
Our Bella was
from Lady Pink’s first litter
and as far as I’m concerned,
there could be no better
lineage! I’ve been a dog lover
and owner my whole life and I
could not have imagined a more
loveable pet than Bella!
Bella is 7 months
old. She is 28 pounds and about
17’’ tall. Your predictions
were right on. I have attached
a photo.
Thanks for
raising such wonderful animals.
I honestly don’t know how you
manage it all. Keep up the
great work.

Gail,
Sorry it took
me so long to get these to you. We were
having so much fun with our company and
Aussie. He stole the show this weekend and
won over all of our hearts. When Mary is
not with Aussie, she is writing me thank you
notes for adopting Aussie! I don't know if
I mentioned it, but Mary is adopted from
China and loves the fact that Aussie is
adopted as well. Patrick is a musician and
plays guitar and viola...both really well.
Aussie loves it and Patrick leads him around
the room for fun. He follows the music! We
love him so much. He is already such an
important part of the family.
I will try to
send more photos soon.
