Australian Labradoodles
|
It's all in the family... Coming from a family of thirteen children, it is of no surprise that I would have other family members that love animals as much as I do. But, to find that the Australian Labradoodle is not only loved by my siblings, but several members of my family are breeders of this wonderful breed. My sister, Dorothy of Primetime Labradoodles first imported Blossom, a beautiful female in whelp, from Rutland Manor located in Australia - one of the developers of the Australian Labradoodle. I was so smitten with Blossom that I just had to have one of the first puppies from her litter. We adopted Willie and knew that we would have more! Soon thereafter, we imported Rutlands Lil Cocoa as a puppy. The joy that we experienced with these two puppies running around our house was indescribable. So, as the two, Willie and Cocoa, matured and became parents, it was inevitable that we would keep some of their offspring. We have managed to keep several puppies from other litters and now have four generations of girls with lineage from Cocoa who will be retired after raising this last litter. Dorothy has continued to breed Australian Labradoodles and developed lines that are sought after by many other breeders. Her daughter Lora of Dreamweaver Labradoodles, was Dorothy's assistant and soon began her own breeding program. Dorothy's daughter Cindy, though not as active in breeding as Dorothy and Lora, so adored the Australian Labradoodle breed that she too has started a small breeding program as well producing beautiful puppies. My sister Judi of Misty Point Labradoodles, and her daughter Crystal of Crystal Creek Labradoodles, both fell so in love with Cocoa. They soon had Australian Labradoodles of their own. They live in Arizona and have raised beautiful puppies from Cocoa offspring. Their love for the Australian Labradoodle is expressed in their devotion to their beautiful dogs. My youngest sister, Paula of PR Labradoodles, bitten by the Australian Labradoodle bug has just started her breeding program, using offspring from the lines developed at Primetime and Dreamweaver.
